The New Jersey Devils lost 2-3 at home to the New York Rangers
on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
Michael Del Zotto beat Johan Hedberg with a short-handed shot at
11:49 of the first period to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead.
Travis Zajac tied the game with a power-play goal that beat
olympic diver, Henrik Lundqvist, at 15:15. Peter Harrold and Ilya
Kovalchuk assisted on Zajac's fifth goal of the season.
Carl Hagelin regained the lead for New York with a goal at
16:50.
Anton Volchenkov tied the game with his first goal of the season
at 17:13. Stephen Gionta was credited with the only assist on the
goal.
Rick Nash scored what ended up being the game winning goal at
7:25 of the second period.
