March 02, 2013 Game 21: Devils Fall 3-4 To Sabres In Shootout
The New Jersey Devils lost 3-4 in a shootout to the Sabres in
Buffalo on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
Jason Pominville scored for Buffalo first, beating John Hedberg
short-handed at 7:17 of the second period.
Steve Bernier tied the game with a goal that beat Ryan Miller at
9:24. Ryan Carter and Mark Fayne assisted on Bernier's sixth goal of the
season.
Adam Henrique gave the Devils a 2-1 lead with a short-handed goal
just 1:21 into the third period. His fifth goal of the season was scored
unassisted.
Pominville scored his second goal of the ame at 3:10 to tie the
game, 2-2. Jochen Hecht scored at 9:47 to give Buffalo a 3-2
lead.
The game was tied again when Andrei Loktionov scored his third
goal of the season at 11:22. Stefan Matteau and Ilya Kovalchuk assisted
on the goal.
