Game 18: Capitals Destroy Devils 5-1

    The New Jersey Devils lost 5-1 to the Capitals in Washington on Saturday, February 23, 2013.

    Ilya Kovalchuk scored the Devils lone goal, which tied the game, 1-1 at 19:22 of the second period.   Andrei Loktionov and Alexei Ponikarovsky assisted on Kovalchuk's seventh goal of the season.

    The Caps five goals came from Alex Ovechkin (3), Eric Fehr, and Troy Brouwer.   Two were scored on the power-play and one was scored short-handed.
