February 07, 2013 Game 10: Devils Beat Lightning 4-2
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-2 at the
Prudential Center on Thursday, February 7, 2013.
Adam Henrique beat Anders Lindback at 3:28 of the second period
to give New Jersey a 1-0 lead. Henrique's third goal of the season was
assisted by Anton Volchenkov and Patrik Elias.
Nate Thompson put the puck behind Martin Brodeu at 13:19 of the
second to tie the game, 1-1.
Ilya Kovalchuk scored a short-handed goal at 17:34 of the second
to make it 2-1 Devils. Kovalchuk's third goal of the season was scored
unassisted.
Andy Greene added a 5 on 3 power-play goal at 15:02 of the third
period to make it a 3-1 lead. Greene's second goal of the season was
assisted by David Clarkson and Patrik Elias.
Patrik Elias scored a 5 on 3 power-play goal just 14 seconds
later to make it a 4-1 lead. Ilya Kovalchuk and Andy Greene assisted on
Elias' third goal of the season.
Matthew Carle scored at 17:45 to cut the Devils lead to two
goals.
