July 17, 2012 Stevens & Shaw New Assistant Coaches
The New Jersey Devils announced on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 that
Scott Stevens and Matt Shaw have been hired as assistant coaches to Peter
DeBoer.
Scott Stevens has worked the past five seasons as a special
assignment coach for the Devils. He will now be behind the bench with
DeBoer.
Matt Shaw has worked the past three seasons with San Jose, as an
assistant coach. He will watch games from the press box and run the
power-play.
Dave Barr, who previously watched from the press box, will be
behind the bench with DeBoer and Stevens.
