November 26, 2011Game 22: Islanders / Toronto Beat Devils 3-2
The New Jersey Devils were defeated 2-3 at home to the New York
Islanders on Saturday, November 25, 2011.
Matt Moulson beat Martin Brodeur at 11:28 of the first period to
give the Islanders a 1-0 lead.
Adam Larsson tied the game, beating Al Montoya at 4:20 of the
second period. Ilya Kovalchuk and Adam Henrique assisted on Larsson's
second goal of the season.
Josh Bailey scored at 11:59 to put the Islanders back on
Adam Henrique beat Montoya 3:59 into the third period to tie
things up once again. Henrique's fifth goal of the season was assisted
by Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk.
Michael Grabner took advantage of a giveaway right in from of
Brodeur, scoring short-handed at 5:51.
Zach Parise tied the game with just 2.1 seconds remaining in
regulation time. The goal was called by the officials on the ice, but
Toronto over-ruled the decision, disallowing the goal. Their bogus claim
was that the puck was kicked into the net.
