December 03, 2011 Game 25: Devils Lose Fourth Straight: 4-2 Jets
The New Jersey Devils lost 2-4 to the Jets in Winnepeg on
Saturday, December 3, 2011.
The Jets took an early lead when Evander Kane beat Johan Hedberg
just 1:42 into the first period. The goal was initially waved off for
being hit with a high stick, but was over-ruled and called a goal.
Adam Henrique tied the game when he puck the puck past Ondrej
Pavelec at 5:53. Henrique's sixth goal of the season was assisted by
Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk.
Patrik Elias scored a 5 on 3 power-play goal at 17:17 of the
second period to give the Devils their first lead of the game. Elias'
ninth goal of the season was assisted by Adam Larsson.
Alexander Burmistrov tied the game with a short-handed goal at
18:24.
Mark Stuart scored at 13:13 to make it 3-2 and Evander Kane was
credited with an empty-net goal at 19:28.
