October 16, 2010 Game 6: Devils Lose 1-4 to Bruins
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-4 at home to the Boston
Bruins on Saturday, October 16, 2010.
The Devils outshot the Bruins 11-8 in the first period, but
neither team buried a puck in the first 20 minutes of play.
Dainius Zubrus beat Tim Thomas at 3:45 of the second period to
give the Devils a 1-0 lead. Zach Parise and Andy Greene assisted on
Zubrus' first goal of the season.
Less than 2 minutes later, Jordan Caron put the puck behind
Martin Brodeur to tie the game, 1-1. 3 more unanswered goals in the
second period (Michael Ryder, Shawn Thornton, and Milan Lucic) gave the Bruins
a 4-1 lead that they would not relinquish.
