March 22, 2009 Game 72: Devils Lost 1-4 to Bruins in Boston
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-4 in Boston to the Bruins on Sunday,
March 22, 2009.
Michael Ryder was credited with a power-play goal that deflected
off of Paul Martin's skate past Martin Brodeur at 16:22 of the first
period.
The Bruins outshot the Devils 14-11 in the first period, which
ended with the Bruins leading, 1-0.
Chuck Kobasew beat Martin Brodeur at 1:52 of the second period to
increase the Bruins' lead. Marc Savard made it 3-0 Boston with a
power-play goal at 6:19.
Andy Greene got the Devils on the board with a goal that beat Tim
Thomas at 12:44. Jamie Langenbrunner and Zach Parise assisted on
Greene's second goal of the season.
Milan Lucic scored at 17:26 to make it a 3 goal Boston
lead.
