November 11, 2009 Game 16: Devils Beat Ducks 3-1
The New Jersey Devils were victorious, 3-1 over the Anaheim
Ducks at the Prudential Center on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. The win
was their sixth straight.
Jamie Langenbrunner gave the Devils an early lead with a goal
that beat Jonas Hiller just 38 seconds into the game. Andry Greene and
Zach Parise assisted on Langenbrunner's third goal of the season.
The shots were even, 8-8 in the first period, but the Devils led
1-0 in goals.
Corey Perry tied the game by putting the puck past Martin Brodeur
at 2:25 of the second period.
David Clarkson made a great move and put a wrist shot in the net
at 12:52 to regain the lead for New Jersey. Andy Greene was credited
with the only assist on Clarkson's fifth goal of the season.
Zach Parise scored a short-handed goal with only 13 seconds
remaining in the second period to give the Devils a 3-1 lead. Jamie
Langenbrunner and Colin White assisted on the goal.
The Devils were asssest with *two* "too many men on the ice"
penalties in this game, and appear to be going for a season record for this
particular penalty.
