July 10, 2009 Devils Sign Yann Danis - to Backup Brodeur?
The Devils announced the signing of netminder Yann Danis on
Friday, July 10, 2009. At first it would appear that with this news,
Martin Brodeur will have a new backup. Scott Clemmsensen has signed with
Florida and Kevin Weekes is a free agent - but Lou Lamoriello said that who
will hold the role of backup to Brodeur has yet to be determined, and did not
even rule out the possibility of re-signing Weekes.
