November 10, 2007 Game 16: Devils Lose 1-2 to Islanders
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-2 to the Islanders on Long Island
on Saturday, November 10, 2007.
Josef Vasicek beat Martin Brodeur at 17:13 of the first period to
give the Islanders a 1-0 lead.
The Islanders outshot the Devils 8-5 in the first period, which
ended with New York leading 1-0.
There were no goals scored in the second period, in which the
Islanders outshot the Devils 11-6.
Dainius Zubrus evened the score with a goal that beat Rick
DiPietro just 1:19 into the third period. Zubrus' third goal of the
season was assisted by Karel Rachunek.
Miroslav Satan scored a 5 on 3 power-play goal at 6:25 of the
third period to give Long Island a 2-1 lead.
The Devils outshot the Islanders 10-3 in the third period, but
were unable to tie the score before regulation time ended.
