November 18, 2006 Game 19: Devils Defeat Maple Leafs 2-1
The New Jersey Devils beat the Maple Leafs 2-1 in Toronto on
Saturday, November 14, 2006. The win was the first game of a five game
road trip.
The Maple Leafs outshot the Devils 10-3 in the first period,
which ended with the game scoreless.
Jamie Langenbrunner blasted the puck past Mikael Tellqvist at
16:51 of the second period to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. Zach Parise
and Colin White assisted on Langenbrunner's eighth goal of the season.
The second period ended with the Devils leading Toronto, 1-0.
The Devils outshot the Leafs 9-6 in the period.
Patrik Elias scored at 12:16 to give the Devils a 2-0 lead at
12:16 of the third period. Elias' fourth goal of the season was assisted
by Brian Gionta.
Darcy Tucker blasted the puck past Martin Brodeur at 16:23 of the
third period to cut the Devils lead to one goal.
The Leafs outshot the Devils 18-7 in the third period and 34-19
in the game.
