November 24, 2006 Game 21: Devils Fall To Ducks 2-4
The New Jersey Devils lost 2-4 to the Ducks in Anaheim on Friday,
November 24, 2006.
Dustin Penner beat Martin Brodeur at 6:31 to give Anaheim a 1-0
lead. &nbap; Samuel Pahlsson scored at 13:59 to make it a 2-0 lead.
Patrik Elias cut the Ducks lead to one goal with a great shot
that beat JS Giguere at 16:43. Jamie Langenbrunner was credited with the
only assist on Elias' fifth goal of the season.
The Ducks outshot the Devils 8-7 and led 2-1 at the end of the
first period.
Brian Gionta beat Giguere on a power-play at 4:25 of the second
period. Brad Lukowich assisted on Gionta's ninth goal of the
season.
The Ducks outshot the Devils 14-8 in the second period, which
ended with the game tied, 2-2.
&nsp; Todd Marchant scored short-handed at 9:23 of the third period to
give Anaheim a 3-2 lead. He added an empty net goal with just 28 seconds
remaining to seal the win for Anaheim.
The Ducks outshot the Devils 15-10 in the third period and 37-25
in the game.
