November 15, 2005 Game 18: Sabres Beat Devils 4-1
The New Jersey Devils lost 4-1 to the Sabres in Buffalo
on Tuesday, November 15.
Scott Gomez beat Martin Biron at 6:48 of the first period to give
the Devils a 1-0 lead. Zach Parise and Grant Marshall assisted on
Gomez's fourth goal of the season.
J.P. Dumont beat Martin Brodeur at 9:59 to tie the game,
1-1.
The Devils outshot the Sabres 11-9 in the first period, which
ended with the game tied, 1-1.
Brian Campbell beat Brodeur on the power-play at 7:14 of the
second period to give the Sabres a 2-1 lead.
The second period ended with the Sabres leading 2-1. The
Sabres outshot the Devils 6-3 in the period.
Chris Drury made it a 2 goal Sabres lead with a goal at 8:01 of
the third period. Daniel Briere sealed the Sabres win with a goal that
beat Brodeur with just 1:30 remaining.
The game ended with the Sabres winning, 4-1.
