The New Jersey Devils placed tough-guy winger Kryztof Oliwa on
waivers on Monday, October 24, 2005. The move is one of several that
will be necessary if the Devils wish to make (salary cap) room on their roster
for Patrik Elias to return, once he has recovered from Hepatitus A.
