I received this message from Pat Burns (by way of the "contact
me" link on this site), on the evening of May 13, 2004.
Subject: A Big Thank You!
Dear Bill,
I am deeply touched by the card I received to-day from the Devils
Office. As for the donations you have collected and turned over to
Hockey Fights Cancer i am truly honoured that you have chosen my name in this
deed.
I wish to tell everyone that treatments are difficult but are
going relatively well. My surgery is scheduled for mid July so we'll
know a lot more after that.
I want to take this time to thank everyone for the kindness and
compassion to be able to fight this awful disease. You are truly
wonderful people and i'm looking forward to seeing you all in the fall for
another Cup Run!!
