February 08, 2004 All-Star Devils.. Results..
Scott Stevens, Scott Niedermayer, and Martin Brodeur were voted
by the fans to start in the 2004 NHL All-Star game for the Eastern Conference
team. With Scott Stevens still out of the lineup, Brian Rafalski was
chosen to take his place. Scott Niedermayer was also honored by being
chosen to wear the Captain's 'C'.
The Eastern Conference squad defeated the Western squad in the
All-Star game by a score of 6-4, on Sunday, February 8, 2004.
Martin Brodeur led all goaltenders with a .909 save percentage -
stopping all but one of eleven shots. He was named the game's third
star.
Scott Niedermayer lead all players in ice-time with 21:29 in 23
shifts. He also had the best +/-, with a +3 and recorded one
assist.
Brian Rafalski was second on the Eastern team with 20:13 of
ice-time (fourth overall). He also had a respectable +/- of +1 and
recorded two shots on goal in the first period.
Paul Martin recorded an assist in the YoungStars game on
Saturday, February 7, 2004.
Scott Niedermayer won the fastest skater competition in the
Skills Competition on Saturday, February 7, 2004.
