November 28, 2003 Game 21: Devils Fall to Stars 2-0, Streak Over
The New Jersey Devils were defeated 2-0, by the Stars in Dallas,
on Friday, November 28, 2003. The loss ended the Devils 13 game unbeaten
streak, and was their first loss of the season on the road.
There was no scoring in the first period, in which the Stars
outshot the Devils, 7-4.
Bill Guerin beat Martin Brodeur at 10:16 of the second period, on
the power-play to give the Stars a 1-0 lead.
The second period came to a close with the Stars leading the
Devils, 1-0. The Devils outshot the Stars 9-8 in the period.
Ex-Devil Jason Arnott slapped a rebound past Brodeur at 16:35 of
the third period to make it a 2-0 lead for the Stars.
The game ended with the Stars defeating the Devils 2-0.
The Devils outshot the Stars 8-6 in the third period and the shots were even,
21-21 in the game.
