November 25, 2003 Game 19: Devils Shutout Kings, 4-0
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Kings, 4-0 in Los Angeles on
Tuesday, November 25, 2003. Martin Brodeur recorded his 68th career
shutout and fourth of the season.
John Madden blasted the puck top-shelf over Cristobal Huet at
18:03 of the first period to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. Madden's
power-play goal, his third goal of the season, was assisted by Patrik Elias and
Jamie Langenbrunner.
The shots were even, 6-6, in the first period, which ended with
the Devils leading the Kings, 1-0.
Sergei Brylin beat Huet just 22 seconds into the second period to
give the Devils a 2-0 lead. Brylin's third goal of the season was
assisted by Turner Stevenson and Colin White.
Scott Niedermayber scored on the power-play with just 44 seconds
remaining in the second period. Brian Rafalski and John Madden assisted
on Niedermayer's fifth goal of the season.
The second period ended with the Devils leading the Kings, 3-0.
The shots were even, 10-10 in the period.
