February 16, 2013 Game 15: Devils Fall To Islanders 1-5
The New Jersey Devils 1-5 to the Islanders on Long Island on
Saturday, February 16, 2013.
John Tavares beat Johan Hedberg at 16:46 of the second period to
put the Islanders on the board first. Tavares scored on a power-play
just 1:23 later to make it 2-0, and Matt Moulson made it 3-0 with a power-play
goal just 57 seconds later.
Marek Zidlicky blasted the puck past Evgeni Nabokov at 8:47 of
the third period on a power-play to cut the Islanders lead to a single goal.
Patrik Elias and Ilya Kovalchuk assisted on Zidlicky's first goal of
season.
Tavares completed a hat trick with a 5 on 3 power-play goal at
14:45 of the third period to give the Islanders a 4-1 lead. Michael
Grabner made it 5-1 with a goal at 19:25.
