February 10, 2013 Game 12: Devils Smack Around Penguins 3-1, Again
The New Jersey Devils skated to a 3-1 victory over the Penguins
in Pittsburgh on Sunday, February 10, 2013, winning both games in their weekend
home and home matchup.
David Clarkson beat Tomas Vokoun at 13:06 of the first period to
give the Devils a 1-0 lead. Clarkson's eighth goal of the season was
assisted by Adam Henrique.
Ilya Kovalchuk made it 2-0 with a goal at 11:27 of the second
period. Stefan Matteau assisted on Kovalchuk's fourth goal of the
season.
David Clarkson added a power-play goal at 13:20 to make it a
three goal Devils lead. Patrik Elias and Marek Zidlicky assisted on
Clarkson's second goal of the game.
James Neal beat Johan Hedberg just 15 seconds into the third
period on a power-play to get the Penguins on the board.
