March 01, 2012Game 63: Devils Fall to Bruins 3-4 Overtime
The New Jersey Devils lost 3-4 to the Bruins in overtime in
Boston on Thursday, March 1, 2012.
David Krejci beat Martin Brodeur just 1:13 into the game to give
Boston an early lead. Tyler Seguin made it 2-0 with a goal at
Zach Parise beat Tim Thomas at 6:27 of the second period to get
the Devils on the board. Ilya Kovalchuk was credited with the only
assist on Parise's 24th goal of the season.
Patrik Elias tied the game at 14:03. Elias' 20th goal of
the season was assisted by Anton Volchenkov and Steve Bernier.
A wrap-around from David Clarkson gave the Devils their first
lead of the game at 17:46. Jacob Josefson was credited with the only
assist on Clarkson's 25th goal of the season.
David Krejci tied the game with his second goal of the match at
5:30 of the third period. Krejci scored the overtime goal at 2:59 to
win the game for Boston.
