a 2-0 lead. Dainius Zubrus was credited with the only assist on
Kovalchuk's 21st goal of the season.
Dainius Zubrus made it 3-0 with a goal with just three tenths of
a second remaining in the first period. Anton Volchenkov and Alexei
Ponikarovsky assisted on Zubrus' 14th goal of the season.
The Devils fourth unanswered goal of the game came from Zach
Parise, just 38 seconds into the second period. Parise's 19th goal of
the season was assisted by David Clarkson and Patrik Elias.
59 seconds after Parise's goal, Alexei Ponikarovsky scored to
make it 5-0. Steve Bernier was credited with the only assist on
Ponikarovsky's ninth goal of the season.
Kurtis Foster scored his second power-play goal of the game to
make it 6-0 at 8:22. Patrik Elias and Ilya Kovalchuk assisted on the
goal, that finally forced Philadelphia to change netminders.
Wayne Simmonds (3:58), Jaromir Jagr (9:23), Claude Giroux (PPG
