November 19, 2011 Game 18: Devils Defeat Lightning: 4-2
The New Jersey Devils beat the Lightning 4-2 in Tampa Bay on
Saturday, November 19, 2011.
Dainius Zubrus beat Dwayne Roloson just 1:09 into the second
period just as a Devils penalty was expiring. Ryan Carter was credited
with the only assist on Zubrus' fifth goal of the season.
The Devils took a 2-0 lead when Patrik Elias scored on a
power-play at 6:05. Elias' eighth goal of the season was assisted by
David Clarkson and Adam Larsson.
David Clarkson beat Roloson at 17:44 on a power-play to give
the Devs a 3-0 lead. Aadam Henrique and Ilya Kovalchuk wassisted on
Clarkson's seventh goal of the season.
Martin St. Louis got the Lightning on the board with a goal that
beat Martin Brodeur at 8:24 of the third period. It became a one goal
game when Ryan Shannon scored his first goal of the season just 90 seconds
later.
Roloson mis-handled the puck at 17:57 and that led to an easy
goal for Ryan Carter. Carter's second goal of the season was scored
unassisted.
