November 08, 2011 Game 13: Devils Beat Hurricanes: 3-2
The New Jersey Devils skated to a 3-2 victory at home over the
Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.
Brandon Sutter scored a short-handed goal on Martin Brodeur at
9:27 of the first period to give the Hurricanes a 1-0 lead.
Dainius Zubrus beat Cam Ward at 10:56 of the second period to tie
the game, 1-1. Anton Volchenkov and Patrik Elias assisted on Zubrus'
fourth goal of the season.
Petr Sykora gave the Devils their first lead of the game with a
goal at 2:27 of the third period. Patrik Elias was credited with the
only assist of Sykora's second goal of the season.
Joni Pitkanen tied the game with goal at 6:06.
Adam Henrique won the game for New Jersey with a goal at 16:41.
Henrique's fourth goal of the season was assisted by Dainius Zubrus and
Mark Fayne.
