November 27, 2010 Game 24: Devils Beat Flyers 2-1 Shootout
The New Jersey Devils skated 2-1 shootout over Philadelphia
Flyers at the Prudential Center on Saturday, November 27, 2010.
Adam Mair put the puck past Brian Boucher at 11:49 of the first
period to get the Devils on the board first. Mair's first goal of the
season was assisted by David Clarkson and Brian Rolston.
The first period ended with the Devils leading 1-0. The
Devils outshot the Flyers 11-10 in the period.
The Flyers outshot the Devils 14-6 in the second period, in which
neither team scored.
Danny Briere scored a power-play goal at 8:38 of the third period
to tie the game.
The Flyers outshot the Devils 14-5 in the third period.
Since the regulation time ended with the teams tied, the game went to
overtime. Neither team scored in the overtime period, forcing a
shootout.
Johan Hedberg stopped 3 of 4 shots in the shootout. Jason
Arnott and Travis Zajac scored to win the game for New Jersey.
