October 30, 2010 Game 12: Devils Fall 1-3 in LA
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-3 to the Kings in Los Angeles on
Saturday, October 30, 2010. They also lost Zach Parise in the second
period to a "lower body" injury.
Justin Williams beat Martin Brodeur at 6:52 of the first period
to give the Kings a 1-0 lead.
The Devils outshot the Kings 11-9, but trailed 0-1 after the
first 20 minutes of play.
A power-play goal from Michal Handzus at 9:32 made it a 2-0 LA
lead.
Matt Taormina got the Devils on the board just 1:06 later, but
Jarret Stoll regained the 2 goal lead for LA on the next shift - just 24
seconds later. Taormina's third goal of the season was assisted by Jason
Arnott and David Clarkson.
The Kings outshot the Devils 9-10 in the second period, which
ended with the Kings leading 3-1.
The Devils outshot the Kings 20-4 in the third period, but no
goals were scored.
