April 20, 2010 R1 G4: Flyers Take 3-1 Series Lead
The Flyers defeated the Devils 4-1 in Philadelphia on Tuesday,
April 20, 2010. The Flyers victory gave them a 3-1 Eastern Conference
Quarter Finals series lead over the Devils.
Ilya Kovalchuk gave the Devils a 1-0 lead with a 5 on 3
power-play goal that beat Brian Boucher at 12:24 of the first period.
Zach Parise and Brian Rolston assisted on Kovalchuk's second goal of the
playoffs.
The Devils outshot the Flyers 12-7 in the first period, which
ended with the Devils leading 1-0.
Jeff Carter tied the game with a power-play goal that beat Martin
Brodeur at 9:08 of the second period. Danny Briere gave Philadelphia a
2-1 lead with a goal at 17:27.
The Flyers outshot the Devils 12-8 in the second period, which
ended with Philadelphia leading 2-1.
Daniel Carcillo made it 3-1 Flyers with a goal at 4:10 of the
third period and Jeff Carter made it 4-1 with a power-play goal at 9:28.
