February 06, 2010 Game 57: Rangers Defeat Devils 3-1
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-3 to the Rangers in New York on
Saturday, February 6, 2010.
Neither team scored in the first period, in which the Devils
outshot the Rangers 10-7.
Marion Gaborik beat Martin Brodeur at 7:20 of the second period
on a power-play to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead. Ryan Callahan made it
2-0 with a goal just 56 seconds later. Chris Drury added another goal
for the Rangers just 1:43 later.
the second period ended with the Rangers leading 3-0. The
Devils outshot the Rangers 12-10 in the period.
Dainius Zubrus scored at the 11:11 mark of the third period to
get New Jersey on the board. Patrik Elias was credited with the only
assist on Zubrus' fifth goal of the season.
