November 25, 2009 Game 22: Devils Beat Senators 3-1
The New Jersey Devils skated to a 3-1 victory at home over the
Ottawa Senators on Wednesday, November 25, 2009.
Niclas Bergfors put the puck past Brian Elliott at 7:58 of the
first period to give the Devils a 1-0 lead. Andy Greene and Bryce
Salvador assisted on Bergfors' eighth goal of the season.
Milan Michalek tied the game when he tipped the puck past Martin
Brodeur at 12:34.
The Senators outshot the Devils 8-6 in the first period, which
ended with the game tied, 1-1.
Patrik Elias scored at 18:34 of the second period to give the
Devils a 2-1 lead. Andy Greene and Jamie Langenbrunner assisted on
Elias' first goal of the season.
The Devils outshot the Senators 8-5 in the second period.
Jamie Langenbrunner added an empty net goal at 19:36 of the third
period to seal the win for New Jersey. Zach Parise and Travis Zajac
assisted on Langenbruner's fifth goal of the season.
