The New Jersey Devils beat the Penguins 4-1 in Pittsburgh on
Thursday, November 12, 2009.
Ruslan Fedotenko beat Martin Brodeur at 11:32 of the first
period, giving the Penguins a 1-0 lead.
The Penguins outshot the Devils 11-9 in the first period, which
ended with the Pens leading, 1-0.
Niclas Bergfors tied the game with a goal that beat Marc-Andre
Fleury at 13:50 of the second period. Zach Parise and Travis Zajac
assisted on Bergfors' fifth goal of the season.
A power-play goal from Andry Greene at 18:50 gave the Devils
their first lead of the game. Greene's third goal of the season was
assisted by Niclas Bergfors and Jamie Langenbrunner.
The Devils outshot the Penguins 9-8 in the second period.
Zach Parise made it 3-1 with a goal at 4:43 of the third period.
Travis Zajac and Niclas Bergfors assisted on Parise's ninth goal of the
nbsp; David Clarkson added an empty net goal with 1.2 seconds remaining.
Bryce Salvador was credited with the only assist on Clarkson's sixth
goal of the season.
