February 21, 2009 Game 60: Islanders Shutout Out-Of-Sync Devils, 4-0
The New Jersey Devils lost 0-4 to the Islanders on Long Island
on Saturday, February 21, 2009.
Sean Bergenheim gave New York an early 1-0 lead with a goal that
beat Scott Clemmensen at 3:50 of the first period. The shots were even,
12-12 in the first period, though the Islanders led 1-0 on the
scoreboard.
Jon Sim made it 2-0 New York with a goal at 8:45 of the second
period. The Devils outshot the Islanders 19-14 in the second period, but
New York led 2-0 after 40 minutes of play.
Kyle Okposos made it a three goal lead at 16:07 on a power-play.
Bill Guerin scored a 5 on 3 power-play goal at 17:52 to make it
4-0.
