November 08, 2008 Game 13: Red Wings Beat Devils 3-1
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-3 to the Red Wings in Detroit on
Saturday, November 8, 2008.
Marian Hossa beat Kevin Weekes at 3:30 of the first period to
give Detroit a 1-0 lead.
The Red Wings outshot the Devils 10-6 in the first period, which
ended with Detroit leading 1-0.
Zach Parise tied the game with a goal that beat Chris Osgood at
4:16 of the second period. Parise's 10th goal of the season was assisted
by Johnny Oduya and Travis Zajac.
Hossa scored his second goal of the game at 10:41 to give the
lead back to Detroit.
The Devils outshot the Red Wings 13-9 in the second
period.
Detroit took a 3-1 lead with a goal from Kirk Maltby at 4:11 of
the third period.
