October 25, 2008 Game 8: Devils Fall In Overtime, 2-3 To Flyers
The New Jersey Devils lost 2-3 in overtime in Philadelpha to the
Flyers on Saturday, October 25, 2008.
Mike Knuble gave the Flyers a 1-0 laed with a goal that beat
Martin Brodeur at 9:42 of the first period.
The Flyers outshot the Devils 13-8 in the first period, which
ended with Piladelphia leading 1-0.
Zach Parise tied the game with a goal just 27 seconds into the
second period. Colin White and Travis Zajac assisted on Parise's sixth
goal of the season.
Scott Hartnell took the lead back for the Flyers with a goal at
9:40.
Brian Gionta's first goal of the season tied the game at 18:17 on
a power-play. Dainius Zubrus and Mike Mottau assisted on Gionta's
goal.
