January 18, 2008 Game 46: Devils Lose 1-2 to the Panthers
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-2 to the Florida Panthers in Newark
on Friday, January 18, 2008.
The Devils outshot the Panthers 11-8 in the first period, but
there were no goals scored in the period.
Travis Zajac got the Devils on the board with a goal that beat
Craig Anderson just 1:10 into the second period. Zajac's 10th goal of
the season was assisted by Jamie Langenbrunner and Zach Parise.
The second period ended with the Devils leading the Panthers,
1-0. The Devils outshot Florida 14-13 in the period.
Radek Dvorak tied the game with a goal that beat Martin Brodeur
at 2:28 of the third period. David Booth gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead
with a goal just 1:17 later.
