December 15, 2007 Game 32: Coyotes Drop Devils 4-1
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-4 at home to the Phoenix Coyotes
on Saturday, December 15, 2007.
The Devils outshot the Coyotes 10-9 in the first period, but
neither team scored in the first 20 minutes of play.
Fredrik Sjostrom beat Martin Brodeur at 3:32 of the second period
to give Phoenix a 1-0 lead.
The second period ended with the Coyotes leading the Devils, 1-0.
The Coyotes outshot the Devils 17-13 in the period.
Radim Vrbata scored at 5:19 of the third period to give Phoenix
a 2-0 lead. Fredrik Sjostrom scored his second goal of the game on a
power-play at 9:08.
Zach Parise got the Devils on the board with a short-handed goal
at 14:00. Sergei Brylin and Patrik Elias assisted on Parise's 15th goal
of the season.
Martin Hanzal scored short-handed for Phoenix at 17:10 to finish
of the scoring.
