November 23, 2007 Game 22: Devils Beat Thrashers 3-0
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Thrashers 3-0 in Atlanta on
Friday, November 23, 2007. The shutout was the 93rd of Martin Brodeur's
career.
The Thrashers outshot the Devils 8-7 in the first period, though
neither team scored - the period ended 0-0.
Rod Pelley gave the Devils a 1-0 lead when he beat Johan Hedberg
at 8:59 of the second period. Dainius Zubrus and Jamie Langenbrunner
assisted on Pelley's second goal of the season.
Paul Martin added a 5 on 3 power-play goal at 16:24 to make it
2-0. Brian Gionta and Jamie Langenbrunner assisted on Martin's first
goal of the season.
The second period ended with New Jersey leading 2-0. The
Devils outshot the Thrashers 12-6 in the period.
Jay Pandolfo added an empty net goal at 19:32. John Madden
and Jamie Langenbrunner assisted on Pandolfo's eighth goal of the
season.
