October 31, 2007 Game 11: Pando Trick! Devils CRUSH Lightning 6-1
The New Jersey Devils smashed the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-1 at home
on Wednesday, October 31, 2007.
There were no goals scored in the first period, in which the
Devils outshot the Lightning, 7-5.
John Madden scored 4:32 into the second period to give New Jersey
a 1-0 lead. Madden's fifth goal of the season was assisted by Dainius
Zubrus and Jay Pandolfo.
Jay Pandolfo beat Johan Holmqvist at 6:20 to make it a 2 goal
Devils lead. Pandolfo's fourth goal of the season was assisted by John
Madden and Dainius Zubrus.
Vincent Lecavalier beat Martin Beodeur on a power-play at 18:13
of the second period to cut the Devils lead to one goal.
The Devils outshot the Lightning 13-9 in the second period, which
ended with the Devils leading, 2-1.
7:14 into the third period, Arron Asham scored to give the Devils
a 3-1 lead. Asham's third goal of the season was assisted by Patrik
Elias.
Jay Pandolfo scored his second goal of the game at 11:00 of the
third period. The goal was assisted by John Madden and Paul
Martin.
Zach Parise made it a four goal lead with a power-play goal at
13:24. Parise's third goal of the season was assisted by Brian Gionta
and Travis Zajac.
Jay Pandolfo completed his first NHL hat trick with his third
goal at 18:40 to cap the Devils victory. Vitaly Vishnevski and John
Madden assisted on the goal that made it 6-1.
