October 25, 2007 Game 9: Road Trip Over - Devils Shutout By Rangers 0-2
The New Jersey Devils lost 0-2 to the Rangers in New York on
Thursday, October 25, 2007.
An early Devils mistake put the Devils down 0-1 early, when
Nigel Dawes scored for the Rangers just 57 seconds into the game.
The Rangers outshot the Dvils 14-9 in the first period and led
1-0 on the scoreboard.
Neither team scored in the second period, in which the Rangers
outshot the Devils 9-6.
Nigel Dawes scored his second goal of the game at 16:07 of the
third period on a power-play to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead.
The Rangers outshot the Devils 8-7 in the third period and 31-22
in the game.
The Devils will open the new Prudential Center in Newark on
Saturday against the Ottawa Senators.
