March 22, 2007 Game 74: Devils Fail 1-3 To Lightning In Tampa
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-3 to the Lightning in Tampa Bay on
on Thursday, March 22, 2007.
Jason Ward beat Martin Brodeur at 11:23 of the first period to
give the Lightning a 1-0 lead.
The Lightning outshot the Devils 15-11 in the first period, which
ended with Tampa leading 1-0.
Zach Parise tied the game with a power-play goal at 11:21 of the
second period. Travis Zajac and Brian Rafalski assisted on Parise's 29th
goal of the season.
The second period ended with the score tied, 1-1. The
Devils outshot the Lightning 12-10 in the period.
Martin St. Louis scored at 9:42 of the third period to give Tampa
Bay a 2-1 lead. He scored again at 13:44 to make it 3-1.
