March 20, 2007 Game 73: Devils Fall 1-2 In Toronto
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-2 to the Maple Leafs in Toronto on
Tuesday, March 20, 2007.
Kyle Wellwood beat Martin Brodeur at 18:33 of the first period on
a power-play to give Toronto a 1-0 lead.
The first period ended with the Maple Leafs leading the Devils,
1-0. The Devils outshot the Leafs 12-11 in the period.
There were no goals scored in the second period, in which the
shots were even, 6-6.
Nik Antropov gave Toronto a 2-0 lead with a goal at 6:09 of the
third period.
Travis Zajac got the Devils on the board with a goal that beat
Andrew Raycroft just 40 seconds after Antropov's goal. Zajac's 16th goal
of the season was assisted by Jamie Langenbrunner and Andy Greene.
