Game 70: Devils Shutout By Penguins 0-3

    The New Jersey Devils lost 0-3 at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, March 14, 2007.

    The shots were even, 11-11 and the game was scoreless at the end of the first period.

    Jarkko Ruutu beat Martin Brodeur at 17:18 of the second period to give Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead.

    The second period ended with the Penguins leading, 1-0.   The Devils outshot the Penguins 7-5 in the period.

    Erik Christensen made it 2-0 Pittsburgh with a goal at 9:31 of the third period.   Jordan Staal added a goal at 17:24.
