The New Jersey Devils defeated the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2 at home
on Saturday, February 3, 2007.
Chris Drury beat Martin Brodeur at 7:18 of the first period to
give the Sabres a 1-0 lead.
The Devils oushot the Sabres 15-6 in the first period, which
ended with Buffalo leading, 1-0.
John Madden shoved the puck past Ryan Miller at 2:02 of the third
period to tie the game, 1-1. Colin White and Sergei Brylin assisted on
Madden's eighth goal of the game.
Jamie Langenbrunner was credited with a goal just 23 seconds after
Madden's goal to give New Jersey a 2-1 lead. Langenbrunner's goal was
a shot that deflected off a Sabre defenseman into the Buffalo net. Zach
Parise was credited with the only assist on Langenbrunner's 18th goal of the
