January 10, 2007 Game 43: Devils Fall To Blues 2-3
The New Jersey Devils lost 2-3 at home to the St. Louis Blues on
Wednesday, January 10, 2007.
John Madden beat Manny Legace 4:23 into the first period to give
the Devils a 1-0 lead. Brian Rafalski assisted on Madden's fifth goal of
the season.
Keith Tkachuk tied the game with a goal that beat Martin Brodeur
at 10:50.
The shots were even, 9-9 in the first period - which ended with
the score tied, 1-1.
The Devils took a 2-1 lead just 19 seconds into the second period
when Brian Gionta scored his 20th goal of the season. Patrik Elias and
Brian Rafalski assisted on Gionta's goal.
Dan Hinote tied the game with a goal at 2:32. The Blues
got their first lead of the game with a goal from Dallas Drake at 9:35.
