October 07, 2006 Game 2: Devils Fall To Stars: 1-3
The New Jersey Devils lost 3-1 to the Stars in Dallas on
Saturday, October 7, 2006.
Niklas Hagman beat Martin Brodeur at 11:48 of the first period
with a short-handed goal to give Dallas a 1-0 lead.
nbsp; The first period ended with the Stars leading, 1-0. The
Stars outshot the Devils 11-4 in the period.
Brenden Morrow scored for the Stars at 4:44 of the second period
to increase the Stars lead to 2 goals.
Travis Zajac scored his first NHL goal at 8:33 to get the Devils
on the board. Zajac's power-play goal was assisted by Sergei Brylin and
Zach Parise.
The second period ended with the Stars leading the Devils, 2-1.
The Stars outshot the Devils 14-7 in the period.
Eric Lindros scored at 17:12 of the third period to seal the win
for the Stars.
