The New Jersey Devils shutdown the Senators in Ottawa, 1-0, ons
Saturday, November 8, 2003. The shutout was the 66th of Martin Brodeur's
career, and the second of the season.
There was no scoring in the first period, though the Senators
outshot the Devils 13-7 in the period.
The second period also ended with the game scoreless. The
Devils outshot the Senators 8-5 in the period.
Scott Stevens beat Patrick Lalime 6:34 into the third period off
a faceoff. Stevens' second goal of the season was assisted by Christian
Berglund and Scott Gomez.
The game ended with the Devils winning, 1-0. The Senators
outshot the Devils 8-5 in the third period, and 26-20 in the game.
The Devils are now undefeated in their last 6 games - with a
record of 5-0-1-0, since October 28.
