The New Jersey Devils skated to a 2-2 tie with the Lightning
in Tampa Bay on Thursday, March 27, 2003.
The Devils took an early 1-0 lead when Patrik Elias scored at
2:41 of the first period, on the power-play. Scott Gomez and Brian
Gionta assisted on Elias's 23rd goal of the season.
Brad Richard tied the game by beating Brodeur at 4:24 of the

Devils outshot the Lightning, 10-8 in the period.
Pascal Rheaume gave the Devils a 2-1 lead pushing the puck
through the pads of Khabibulin at 5:14 of the second period. Rheaume's
8th goal of the season was assisted by Scott Stevens and Bryan Rafalski.
The second period ended with the Devils leading the Lightning,
2-1. The Lightning outshot the Devils 13-7 in the period.
Vincent Lecavalier tied the game with just 5:25 remaining in
the third period.
Regulation time ended with the game tied, 2-2. The
Lightning outshot the Devils 12-10 in the period.
There was no scoring in the overtime period, the game ended
in a 2-2 tie.
